Let's Observe

-Oh, the possibilities of where exactly this could be located are endless with the vastness that is space. But more importantly is what exactly is this observatory for. Making this another piece from you that makes me think a lot.

-I like how everything is centered around the smaller golden constellation structure. Making it more specific and the focal point of finding what you want to observe at the time. Possibly being able to transition your view just with the turn of it.

-Nice architectural style of the pillars and floor to give you some solid footing but still seem transparent enough to be walking on nothing. Much detail that must have been tedious to create. But even the observatory looks like a small piece of the puzzle with so much in the distance.

Thank you!

The focal point was very deliberate but I was worried it might be a little over kill. Glad you like that.

The Hunt

-Such a delightful scene of life. For one to continue living it must take the life of another organism. Nice touch giving the little fishy some expression as it makes the struggle to survive seem at such dire straights.

-Making the larger water creature with such well disguising colors was definitely apparent since the blue-purple fins would blend in very well with the water and his spine could be some plant-life. Making me think that this was a suprise attack on the unsuspecting fishy.

-Wonderful texturing in the rocks and green plants up in the forefront of the art piece which really brings the picture to life. Much less so in the back which creates the effect of distance quite well. A bit too hazy and murky but it could just be how you wanted the habitat to look.

-Overall it's very good. I like the tools you implemented in drawing this at it makes it seem so much more real and lifelike. Dark and interesting but vague enough to make you wonder about the possibilities that the outcome of this situation could be.

The idea I was running with for this was some kind of slow moving river, like what you might find salmon in; Clear enough to see, but not too far. Hense not worrying too much about the background. :~)

Yes I cheat lol. Thanks for the review. :)

Excellent

-Nice little mashup of very popular works. Since both madness and da Vinci's work are insanely well recieved by the public it is only rightly deserved that the joining of these would result in such. Being frontpaged and almost 10,000 views in less than four days is definitely a start I suppose.

-You covered the overall theme very nicely. Bringing in a dark atmospheric presence with the background. So much attention to detail with the many cracks in the walls and the deep red sky. Great job with the positioning of the characters and who you placed in each respective position. Including all of the main characters and even some of the lower ranking individuals.

-Well I still have yet to see any sort of food in madness so it was a good choice to have weapons and shells since they are much more prominent in the series. I think you did an excellent job of bringing the best of both worlds out in this art piece.

If only...

-Well I know he's supposed to be missing his head since he's obviously headless but he's also missing his hands and feet. Maybe he should of been the invisible pixel :P

-Not sure what the arrow is for but it probably has a purpose. At least he is properly proportioned for the most part and you have some shading in pixel style. There could of been a background but it looks like you were going for an overall plain style of drawing.

Soapbubble responds:

The invisible pixel. That sounds better, yes.

Cover

-Nice little representation of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road. A bit curious as to why you chose to use pixel art since it's not your normal style. It works great when you look at it in full size but it looks rather blurry in the normal screen. Love the mirror effect and it fills the drawing out more so it isn't really plain.

I got a new flash extension, my next work will be normal :)

Nice

-It's definitely one of the more detialed pieces of art that you've done and I really like when you do this portrait type of drawing since it allows you to work on facial expressions. It's nice to experiment with all of the different things you can convey with miniscule changes. I've kind of grown on this sloppy style also. You do a pretty good job with it quite honestly.

-While it does show that you don't care too much for keeping inside the lines and conforming to standards it does show that you like to have fun with what you draw. Nice color combination on his jacket with some shading touches. Background seems a bit bright and plain though. Overall it's pretty good and it seems like you are improving.

Amazing

This is positively amazing. Even though i've thought of making something like this for a long time I don't have the drawing skills or the patience to do it. When I was randomly looking around the art portal I happened to come upon this and was delighted that it was of good quality. Definitely one of the better funny parody drawings i've seen on newgrounds.

Amazing.

This is positively amazing. I came here since I thought it was just flapjack but what you have done with him is amazing. Hilarity would definitely ensue if this dynamic duo was incorporated into the gameplay.

Fatty McGee

-This definitely tickled my funny bone just a little. Not because he is fat but that he is wearing a shirt a couple of sizes too small with the word "Food" on it. It's just a little ironic that a shirt like that would be too small. It must mean that he is a lot fatter than I can tell.

-It also looks like he is feeding the sun some of the chocolate bar because he is holding his arm out and the sun's cheeks look like he has food in his mouth. Just a couple of things that I noticed.

-Still could use some work on the coloring but the lines look smoother in this picture than in some of the previous ones where they are squiggly. But this is one of the better pictures overall.

thanks and that sun thing was no accident!

John Lennon

-This is a lot more detailed and less cartoony than some of the previous art pieces that i've seen you make. I like that you made a tribute and you did a pretty decent job with it.

-His face look's a bit uneven and the lines are a bit rough though. Maybe have a sketch or basic structure done and then work off of that for better results. Coloring still has issues also since it's sloppy and the shading seems to be a little off compared to the facial features.

-Still it's a good tribute and i'd like to see you make more works like this since it will allow you to practice on the facial area of your other full body drawings.

ok thanks dude you rule too!

RIP 1940-1980

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
