Nice

Definitely a play-worthy game. Only hitch is a minor hit detection problem. On occasion an attack will fail to connect, but it's easy to overcome (just be careful to adjust your position so you don't overlap the enemies during your attack sequence). Music is acceptable, enemies rather varied for sticks, and it can be quite challenging as you progress. The slow motion move set was very entertaining; got to love that slow-mo throughout.

Could be better

There needes to be a lot more items in each level. Most levels have 2 or 3 things you can eat so more variety but more static items. The best level was eating the city because it had trees, houses, cars ,tanks, bigger trees, buildings and a few other things. When your able to eat the biggest thing on the map you should be close to done the level.

There was way to much time sitting on a big empty map waiting for things to spawn just so I could move on. If the map is empty, the level should be nearly done. Some tweaks and additions would make this much better. Having more action would make the game less boring and keep the player entertained for longer.

Great Game

This game while simplistic has a great few points of re playability (from both the medals to the freeplay mode where I spent at least an hour shooting off all sorts of arrow combination at anything that moved).

In addition the learning curve I felt was done perfectly, where I may of struggled having no idea what arrows to buy or which were useless, trying to figure out the finer points of the game through the first few levels... I had quickly grown into a ninja of death through the use of lightning, homing, explosive, and piercing arrows. Even with the challenges that I had faced early on it was never frustrating and the fact we got money even when losing a level never had me feel cornered like I'd have to start the game anew with more suitable choices just to progress.

The music was upbeat and the art style made me smile (albeit the game was super laggy at points even with the quality all the way down) I can't complain. The story however could of used a little work (I'd expect more from the super flash brothers name) but I enjoyed the journey none the less, and the ending was heartwarming

So Much Fun

This game in itself is one of the most replayable games I've seen on Newgrounds. I found the learning curve to be somewhat steep but once I got down the jumps it was smooth sailing from there. The music makes you want to score higher and gives the game a frantic feeling. Graphically it's simple but the motion blur is really a nice touch.

The challenge is not brutal but it's enough to require great timing with the jumps and drawing the terrain. Controls-wise I actually think only using the Left Click of the mouse makes the game accessible to everybody. It's quite satisfying to get more than 50x multiplier, go at over 70kmh, send the skier to the heavens with a ramp you drew and get an applause for your trick! Losing your headphones is so funny that it never gets old. I'm anything but good at this game but it's so entertaining to play.

It's not without its flaws though. Different backgrounds would definitely help. Different tracks for music would be good. It's frustrating to have an 80x multiplier get cut in half just because you missed one gate. I felt that there could have been at least one unlockable prize for getting all those medals. Maybe different ways of gaining speed besides jumping would be helpful too.

Fun game. Too repetitive.

Pretty fun. It's repetitive but the challenge keeps it interesting. It's too hard though. The weapon upgrades are too steep in cost and too shallow in actual effect. The mothership turret is next to useless. It needs to have more range, and more power. The accuracy being crap is sensible if it's a bigger weapon, but it seems to be weaker than the hand held gun.

When you get hit by bugs you get knocked the opposite direction of where you're facing and the recovery time is ridiculous. If you are turned the wrong way, you keep getting knocked back onto the bugs and never get a chance to recover.

Burst mode is useless since rifle mode is nearly the same if you just click rapidly and no cooldown time. The graphics could be more interesting. Maybe change weapon fire color to indicate upgrades and make it appear more powerful as well. That'd help a lot. That's one of the reason top-down flying shooters are so popular, the weapons get ridiculously more violent looking which is enjoyable.

Great Game

The shooting system was unique, the levels were hard enough that it took a few tries to beat but not to hard that they couldn't ever be beaten. Letting me keep the gold after each round was nice. Made it more possible to beat levels on the second try.

The music rocked Reminded me alot of the music in snow bros (from NES) or a really old computer game called Tyrian (both rocked). Plus the music fit the game well, started off slow and when a horde of enemies filled the screen got faster.

I avoid bullet time in most games because it is usually cause for frusteration and causes more harm then good. In this game bullet time was a godsend and saved my bacon a few times. There were often when I would be begging for it to be recharged faster because I needed it.

This was definitely a challenging game and can be very addicting if you get into it. Not anything that is glaring in the gameplay side and begs for a sequel. I'd definitely give it a go if you made it.

Fun

I agree the mouse movement was tricky and just made it harder, but that's why there's options and I'm glad for that. Switched back to keyboard movement and mouse aiming and I really enjoyed it. Was fast paced flying around dodging stuff, music was fun, was very colorful, had a nice but flexible retro feel to it.. I just all around really enjoyed it. Thanks for the fun game!

Good Work

I started playing this game two days ago and im still playing, i wonder when i will finish. It has some great graphics and style. The battle music sounds like it was made on garageband, it gets too repetitive. The story is fairly interesting thus far and i hope it only gets better. The only thing that you would need to work on in another one that you make in the future would be to improve the battle system. It gets slow and repetitive, maybe make a few things to it like press 'A' right before you hit to do more damage, simple things like that can make the battles more interesting. Thank you for making this fun game and keep up the hard work.

Really Good

This game is a lot of fun, and I feel like I learned a good bit of cellular biology from playing it. This is an excellent educational format. Only problem is from a gameplay perspective, and a lot of even big professional games make this mistake: you spend most of the game learning how to play to its fullest, then one or two non-educational levels, then it's over. Would love to see the same game with just more levels added, different challenges, perhaps a level scripting system. Or perhaps Version 2 could show how different cells work together in, say, an immune system? Lots of potential here, and I like how it shows the "good, useful" side of video games.

Fun game

Nice to see a christmas themed game from you. It's always enjoyable to play your games that give a twist to other people's work. Usually they are quite a challenge but I find this one to just be a little on the easy side since the combo continues even if you miss a package along the way. Hopefully all of the presents that he saved broke his fall or else it was all for nothing. Wouldn't want all that hard work to go down the drain by santa dying.

I think santa broke the present's fall... Also, I really need to come up with some original gameplay ideas...

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
