Congratulations!

-You've won! What is it that i've won? Inspiration silly! Well at least you've drummed up enough inspiration out of me to do my first review off of the lengthy list of requested submission that we have this time around in the Review Request Club. This song is much different from most of the stuff I listen to. It's really slow and a bit ambient but it caught me as something that's working in a different direction.

-The overall melody was very well put together. It was very free flowing and while it didn't change a whole lot throughout the duration of the song it was really fruity and cheerful. This gave it the driving force that I usually look for in a song. Something that really pushes the song forward and keeps you interested. I also found the sound to be of relatively good quality and helped me focus on the song better. It isn't the best i've heard so maybe some mastering might be in need here but it's not a requirement.

-Anywho i'm quite satisfied with the length of the song being over four minutes. It allowed you to have several buildups and incorporate the drums into the song nicely. The beginning stayed very stagnant for too long and could be shortened or brought in more percussion earlier to supplement it. The keyboard is one of the few instruments that can be really interesting by itself but it can always use some help here and there. I will have to say my favorite parts were the buildups into the cymbals(i've come to find out that I love the use of cymbals in instrumental only songs). It always sped up just a little bit and brought the main melody back in a resurgence. Everything, as I said earlier, was very free flowing and it progressed nicely throughout. Bringing you to the suttle ending where you brought everything to a close in a nice timely manner.

-It's not the best work i've seen but it gets it's points for originality. I'd much rather see interesting new music be made than the normal dance and techno that has really been flooding the portal lately. Just keep doing what you're doing and with time you will improve.

Mmm I like what I hear; thank you!

lol yeah this wasn't mastered very well. I'll probably be taking another look at the bass soon.

Muskrats

I absolutely loved the intro. It was slower paced than the rest of the song and was really fruity. It quickly sped up but the fact that it was much faster didn't hurt the song too much since it progressed nicely. I just felt it would of been better if it was slower more often.

Dude, muskrats. and marmots can't forget marmots.
I appreciate your feedback and opinion! Thank you!

Voltage

-This is definitely deserving of it's high ranking for the week. The reason i'm saying that is the fact that you posted up a work in progress and then took people's advice off of that. Usually when you do that it results in a much better song end result.

-The song is structured very well. Nice beggining, middle, and end. There are many breaks and progressions throughout and in my opinion most of them were really good. It was a nice listen overall.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Thank you a ton! I'm so glad you like it! God bless!

Great

I find it funny that someone actually made something like this. It's just so spontaneously random and funny. It's also of really high quality and the different toned voices work together well.

Great

Its difficult to describe just how mind-blowing this song is! I adored the piano outtro, and the sound quality on this is superb. The variations are great, the melody is not redundant - I could listen to this for hours.

Review

This is really good. Well paced and high music quality. I'm suprised it took two years to make though. There must of been some sort of delay. Well anyway i'm glad that it's finally finished and it's ready for all of us to listen to.

AisareneMusic responds:

Mostly finished, and, yes, it was a 2 year on/off project. It's come a long way from the original. Thank you for the review. ^^"

Great

The Modern Warfare 2 music definitely needed to be spruced up like you did here. It's a lot more interesting and dynamic than what they have in game.

nal1200 responds:

I agree! :D

Nice icon, by the way. I loved GS!

-Ahh this definitely needs some remastering. The sound is off several times in the beginning and the synth being added was by far the worst part. When it first comes in it's very rough sounding. It does get better as it progresses and mixes with the original melody that you built. Just touch up some parts in the beginning of the synth at 0:28.

-I love what you did with the melody. It's very space-y and pumps in and out at a nice pace while slowly progressing the song through each respective element. The song would of just felt empty without it. The percussion elements where blended beautifully throughout the first half of the song with it.

-The break at about 2:00 was well placed but it took away the melody that I loved so much. It just left everything up in the air floating and grasping for something solid to hold onto. Just synths alone don't really catch my attention enough to stand alone by themselves. I wouldn't of minded this if you let that be the fade out aspect of the song but you started it way too early in the song. If you would of made the ending last less time it would of worked out much better.

-Hmmm very interesting way to start this out. Using just the string instruments getting louder and louder. Made me feel like I was about to listen to a straight classical song. But at 0:45 you brought the "stuff". It honestly works out very well and gives atmosphere and feeling into a genre that lately doesn't have too much of that. It's all put some synths here and a badass bass beat and they'll love it.

-It's structured so well and the mixing of classical instruments and techical instruments and sounds worked beautifully to my ears. I'd have to say the beginning was just full of energy and the continual progression to the fadeout at the end were just top notch work. I'd love to see you start pumping out more work like this in the future.

Review

-While reading the author comments beforehand it made me honestly chuckle at the EDIT part. It's not necessarily funny but it's serious and then takes a dramatic turn at that part.

-It seems like someone was influenced by an obscure band. It's not usual to see a song with lyrics structured in this way. It makes it seem almost like a 2000-2003 emo band with the slow-fast-slow-fast style but it's a rock song for the most part.

-This could definitely use some more variety in the instumentals and have the vocals a little louder since they get drowned out by the instruments in the beginning.

Thanks man!

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
