Octopus :3

-The name, while rather simple, made me enjoy this picture so much more. It's a bit ironic since it makes me think of a cute little octopus but it's kind of creepy and not that cute. The background could of used more work since it's messy. More of a blob in the background than an actual atmosphere or scenery.

-The actual octopus has some nice details involving the tentacles and how many it has. Of course it would have eight tentacles but four of them have orange stripes and four of them are just plain. This shows some cool little detail and makes me wonder whether the stripes are just on one side of the tentacles. I thought the head was rather oddly colored but it's not like anything about the octopus is normal.

I feel a little sick when someone tells me about the background. A LITTLE!

Nice

-It's kind of trippy. Like a face inside of another face. Shadowing how something that you once had and was once so strong fell apart and you don't have it anymore. Honestly everyone goes through some time like this in their life and it tugs on your emotional and artistic sides at the same time. It's a bit dark but yet it has a bright outlook in spite of it. Definitely a piece that makes you think. Great Job with this.

thanks, that actually means alot

Dragoons!

-Well at least this one makes a lot more sense to me since in Japan there is a lot of folk lore about dragons and how they would come down and terrorize the people of the nation just for kicks and giggles. From a broad view it looks decent and i've always loved the "Dim the Lights" feature since pictures look great in the dark.

-Red is one of the more prominently used colors for dragons that i've noticed. I honestly would of liked to see the dragon maybe have a two toned look by having the outline be a different shade of the same color or even a different color. Just something to give the dragon a little depth even though it's obviously drawn like flat since it's stenciled.

-The outline of the dragon is very smooth for the most part. There is some obvious faults in the snout of the dragon and it's claw that is separated from the body in the sketch. They could of been touched up a little before the coloring was done since they look a little off compared to the quality of the rest of the drawing.

Review

-It's an interesting design having a said Japanese wolf considering that there aren't any wolves in Japan as to my knowledge. I could be wrong but it just takes away from things.

-The right front paw is just glaring at me right now. While all of the other three paws have some sort of shading that one doesn't have anything other than the fine outline and it makes it the odd one out. It makes it look really wierd and could of at least had a thicker paw outline.

-Other than that it looked fine to me though. The pen drawn wolf howling at the moon with japanese lettering on the side is great and maybe needed to be a little larger picture but it's fine the way it is size wise.

Well

-Not the best drawing by any means but it's well drawn and I don't see any noticable mistakes other than the road getting progressively thinner as it goes from right to left. This is most likely a side effect of a poor 3-dimensional drawing scale. A better angle would of been looking more from the top or bottom of the character instead of straight on to him.

-This could of been done with some darker colors so you could really let the light in the background show some more lighting effects than just some color. Lines are a tad rough in spots and a straight edge is your best friend. Just draw something straight and try to match it when doing your drawing. You can always delete things in your drawing later.

Robots

-Ooh, the setting sun is definitely an eye catcher and it's the first thing that comes up when you go to the page. It would help if all the colors in the background were blended better. They seem to be just a tad bit blotchy in some parts(purple/red).

-The robots have a nice design from what I can tell from the center robot. I'm going to assume that they are all the same model type. Some of the lines are rough and look like you had to go over them several times. It would look so much better with clean outlines and details. The shading also could use some more depth to increase the illusion of 3D.

Ghost

-It's been a while since i've actually gotten on my xbox360 and played some good old call of duty. Ghost was definitely one of the most interesting characters from the campaign storyline in my opinon.

-Just at a glance the head seems to be too big for the body. Not too big of an issue but making the body a tad bigger to compensate would look the best. I think you did an ok job of getting the basic drawing down without any rough sketches though. More details for the acr seem to be in order too.

Great Job

This is definitely one of my favorite pictures on Newgrounds. It's just pure genius.

Seriously? That's a great compliment. Thanks!!

Unique

-I've never used Corel Painter even though it came as a standard program on my computer in trial form. It looks like it can create a lot of fine details with a lot of time and patience though.

-I particularly liked what you did for coverage of the god thing that you are depicting. The fluffy sash tail thing that you used has a lot of high details and shading that make it look like real fur. I thought the chains were a little small and could of been made larger to have a greater effect of being highly bound in chains. That and the mask seems a bit odd on the body. The dark background is a nice touch which could even of had some weather effects like lightning or some rain.

^_^

Just what this place needs. MOAR BULBASAUR!

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
