-What a suprisingly shocking resemblence. I'd honestly never made that connection before I saw this picture and had to come and check it out.
-I'm not sure why Patrick and the flubber look so shiny other than they might be effects of the sun that is off picture. It's quite unusual to see something that is a circle submitted here.

It has amazing quality for being made in photoshop. The rose looks absolutely beautiful and the coloring is faded but still good. The border around the artwork makes it seem fancier too.
Hey thanks, to be honest I spent more time on those rose pedals than I did the rest of the image. The rose is centered, it is the focal point, and like a camera lense, it was the only thing I wanted to be in focus.

-There is so much detail in the zoomed out version that you can't even see in the regular NG sized picture. The brush strokes look almost bacterial-like and very smooth. Gives it that nice grainy texture that can be hard to get.
-It felt a bit bland by using one color. I know blue is associated with cold but you could of done a bit more than just two shades of blue. Filling in the brush strokes would also make it look a bit more professional.

I don't think it's that bad honestly. It has that whole stencil-colored pencil look to it and it looks very close to the actual A-bot in proportions and such.

As for it having a pencil-drawn look, well... that's because it is. :P
It's hand-drawn using coloured pencils and scanned. Annoyingly, the scanner doesn't work as well as I'd hoped, and some of the colour was lost in the process of getting it uploaded (the original is a lot more vivid). I'm still trying to figure out how to get around that one.
As for the proportions, I know it's not horrible, but when you put it next to the real one on the Audio portal page the differences become much more apparent. I just plain forgot to structure the drawing as a whole to make sure everything was proportional. Not doing any serious attempts at artwork for 7 years will do that to a guy.
