Amazing Shooter

-The missions are each prefaced with a solid battle plan that includes ground troops and weapon selection. There are a good many weapons to choose from but you have to pick the right ones for the right job. The same goes for the planes, as you can purchase up to no more that range from something the Wright Bros. would have rejected to the stealthy F-117A. Each plane has different flight characteristics and you have to be wary of how it will handle when loaded with certain weapons. A plane full of bombs may be tailor-made for a bombing mission but it may be like asking Louie Anderson to run the hurdles when it come to a dogfight.

-Lots of surprises can be expected as few missions ever go as planned. You can expect to encounter a wild card in each level that is typically not in your favor. It keeps you on your toes and helps keep the game from feeling redundant. As I mentioned, this is not a sim and some of the missions are little "out there" but within the context of the storyline these little flights of fantasy don't seem too crazy. Did I mention the storyline? There is one, but it's not going to win any awards, or many fans for that matter. It's as lame as Top Gun but it does absolve you of having to apply your own intellect to the missions. For example, you will be asked to perform maneuvers that will re-enact the famous trench run scene in the first Star Wars movies and on another mission you will have to protect the Earth from falling stars with your anti-asteroid cannon.

-Rendered after real aircraft, the planes look fantastic, in fact all the graphics are top notch. The sounds of the different jet engines adds character to each aircraft and although I don't know what these planes sound like in real life, I can't imagine them sounding any different. That's a testament to how much trust I place in the developers judgement just seeing the great job they did with the graphics. Radio contact with your mates is ensconced with crackles, hiss and white noise; and never sounded better. The animation of the planes is smooth and the explosions are a treat to watch and listen to anytime.

Nice game

-This game is incredible fun and addictive!!! Though I cared little about the plot, which is weird because I think they are important for games. Maybe it could help the plot to show it rather than let some little face to just tell it, I think it is about looking for somebody missing right? Any who the controls are the best of it, and excellent and a brilliant combination of directional arrows and mouse pad, very engaging and more importantly challenging in a fun way that make you keep trying till you beat it.

-The only complain I have is the leveling system, it was a shock when I realized there was a limit to the number of upgrades you could buy, not even a heads up on that? But even more shocking to realize that every upgrade you buy applies for all the other ships, other than that excellent game.

Fun

I was expecting a more complicated game, but all it is is a simple avoid game. It doesn't stay true to the series because there are no boss battles, the tetris pieces are completely random as to where it lands, it's not complex enough, and the original theme is gone. All it is is an avoid game, and although it is an addicting and fun game at that, it's disappointing. It seems very rushed and not on par with the rest of the series because it had no series. Next time, don't set yourself a deadline you can't handle.

I didn't program the game. It's just my concept and animation. About the deadline, I did not set one. Not for the game, anyways. I set myself a deadline for the animation that fit with how far along the programming was. I actually had to delay the release of the animation because the game was taking so long. Animation was done right on time. Thank you for giving me a nine though, regardless of all of the faults.

Fun while it lasted

A nice game overall, a little lacking in the art department, although I think I'm just biased because I'm not a huge fan of "cutesy" drawings. My main complaint though is that some levels just took pure luck, whereas most levels required skill; for example, level 5-2 took me about 30-40 tries, because it's seemingly random how much speed you'll have when the "cart" lands and whether or not you'll be able to get over the spike pit with the back wheel. The one time I did complete the level I just BARELY made it over, but hey, making it is making it, right?

I do like how you give the player resources to complete levels in one way, but have the levels set up in such a way that sometimes there's a better method... I know I worded that poorly, so let me give an example. Level 5-3... when I first beat this level, my tactic was to cross the small platforms, commit seppuku, use the body as a stepping stone to jump on top of the gates, then cross the mossy log to get most of the keys and finally over to the far left to get the pink key. Of course, this required 1 life. However, if you bump the mossy log from the left side, it shifts it enough to unbalance it, causing the keys to spill out onto the second small square; a well-timed jump will allow all the keys to be collected. At this point, the player can head back over to the left, get the last key, and complete the level with no deaths. It's that kind of level design that I love about these kind of games.

So much fun

Rhythm games are one of my favorite genres and I must say this is one of the better ones. The music is a great selection albeit a little small, but not enough that it deters the game's entertainment. The one annoyance I had... and this is probably meant for this reason, but the arrows appearing in random columns of the screen confused the hell out of someone who plays a lot of DDR. ^__^ Anyway, thanks for the game.

Great Game

That was a great game. I have to admit, when I was coming to it, I wasn't expecting much. But it's a real challenge and when it changes from black to white, it really sketches me out. I loved the little Tetris cubes that explode out if you lose, and what's this? A score-tracker that actually works? Incredible! The only thing that would've made it cooler, would to have made it something like DDR or Guitar Hero and have the shapes come down to the beat of the music. But that would be really time consuming, and it's already great. Keep up the good work, hope to see more from you.

Kept me entertained

-Completed the boss on normal, then got back to find the bouncy ball. It was all the same levels again, but with the orange bouncy ball. Once i got to "Be Curious" I Just gave up altogether.

-Also, i found that the ball sometimes fell through My Line, and that was really irritating, especially on the level where you said "This is what the boss looks like kinda", Where i swooped down, grabbed the top line, and up again, the ball would keep going through my line, and i even started to smooth it out and it still did.

Fun game

This game takes the idea behind the fishy game and manages to surpass its inspiration. How, you ask? Two words-- mouse controls. With the speed and accuracy of mouse control, the game moves so much faster, and is much more fun. The keyboarding controls always frustrated me in Fishy, but in blocky i can do incredibly well. Plus the graphics are colorful and fun and the music is catchy. And it's great to have the letter ranking system, although it is too bad you can't grow beyond an A ranking. But besides that minor gripe, all of these elements together make for one addictive game.

First one i've played.

-Even though this was the first game in the series of Kees' Adventures that i've played it was fun and I didn't get lost in the plot.

-The menu was a lot different than i'm used to. Normally there is a click to start menu or something of that nature. You went with the classic push a button to go to the next page. That and having to use the arrow keys to navigate the menu. It falls in line with older systems of games as far as the 8-bit style. It's good that you stayed in the same line of game making instead of adding newer elements to an old style game.

-Once I actually got in to the game it had that classic 8-bit style that the flixel engine is so good for. The animation in the game was rather plain though. In a lot of the parts where people could of been doing something they were just standing still and seemed robotic. Try having more movement for characters that aren't being used by the person playing the game.

-The game was also very linear. You had to talk to person at point A. Go through the dialouge that is automatically given to you. Go get item at point B. Then bring said item back to the person at point A. It didn't create much of a challenge or create a dynamic of having choices to what you wanted to do. I'm not sure if the flixel engine will allow you to have dialouge choices that you can pick and work off of that or if it's too simple of a framework. I have yet to look into exactly how it works or tried to make anything with it.

-Getting back to the linearity of the story. It makes the game not much of a challenge and gives no replayability since if you know where something is once you will be able to find it agian. That and there weren't any multi-step tasks that you had to do. This made the tasks relatively easy and didn't require much thinking at all to complete.

-It was a fun little game to play but it didn't take long or much effort to complete. Overall just try to make the games in future installments longer with more plot dynamics that make the game more difficult. This will add more play time and the chance that people will want to come back and play it again.

Great

This was a definite improvment over the Cursors of the Future one, because in these it was both cursors and desktops, or so they appeared to be. Not only that but everything else seemed to be improved upon.
The graphics while in this case are hard to give a score on, were great in my opinion. The backrounds all looked cool even when they were simple. The little cursor things were cool too, i mean the things that followed the cursor. The animation was all smooth, no complaints from me for graphics, The style is perfect. This kind of thing has never been done before here on NG, other than Cursors of the future. But its just so cool to mess around with, a true time waster. The sound was great too, i was getting a little worried at the start because there were little sounds, but that changed pretty quickly.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
