Loved it

I absolutly love the 90's shooter style games, and you hit it perfectly with your own twist on it. The upgrade were great, although it often seemed like there were not enough points to go around. The accumulation of experience also seemed rather flawed. Having to fly around the screen constantly tring to pick them up while dodging fire was a slight pain, but also quite enjoyable. It added to the difficulty quite well. Difficult games are by far the best. As for performance, I had no less than 50fps throughout the game. Overall, you did a damn good job, but it could still use some tiny tweaks.

Nice Tutorial

-Well it's kind of a dissapointing tutorial since it only covers AS2 for sound and didn't include anything on any of the newer forms of actionscript that a lot of people might also find helpful. But to learn that they would have to go somewhere else rendering your tutorial obsolete. Maybe a better title so people don't end up going to the wrong place and having to adjust their code.

-I've already made a couple of flashes with sound in AS2 and everything was well in order and worked fine so good job on the coding. Also no problems with the buttons other than a go back to beginning button is missing. Pretty basic tutorial overall but it will be helpful to some people so your goal was achieved.

Thanks Sixflab! Yeah, some people didn't liked by this be as3, but is because I use Macromedia Flash 8, than I don't know coding in this one, but for as2 I already know pretty well and was better to me keeps with it, than change to another just in my top days on programming, would be like forget everything I know and need to learn everything again, I don't want to do this.

But I also got people who liked it, I received two 10 scores, one 9 and also I got by now 8 people who favorited my submission, maybe you already got more than this, but I'm happy with the result from this tutorial.

Thanks for the review!!

Awesome

-You have left me in awe once again. The awesomest part definitely had to be the ending. I'll tell you why. Everybody dies and the sole survivor is completely lost. The happy ending is a thing of the past.

-It gives you the kind of satisfied-yet-disappointing feeling. There's no way to describe it. A happy ending gives a satisfied-yet-disappointing feeling, too. But a different kind. A happy ending is satisfying because it is happy and everybody is happy but is disappointing because there's no depth to it. This, however, leaves you satisfied because it's not the cliché happy ending and it is just a supremely awesome ending but disappointed because everybody's sad and dying. And it haunts you for the next few days, leaving you begging for more.

-Just awesome, what can I say. You did a perfect job. Except for just dismissing the Minigames, I must say, you couldn't have done a better job on this game. I hope you come out with your next game like this soon. Even if it comes out next year, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Well

This is a pretty well down game. Like the puzzles and the idea of a creature that evolves due to what it eats. I would love to see this made into a longer game with more choices on how you procced and therefore how you evolve. Good stuff

I wish it had a point.

Fun game, with a creative ending. Holding A works just as effectively as tapping it. I think you gave fliptop way too much life though. He was practically invincible compared to his enemies. I know you're probably never going to continue this, because you never do complete things as insignificant as these. I can appreciate that, with all the work you have to do keeping newgrounds up and running. Anyway. It was quite a good game, but none of the plot was revealed through game-play, which really made the game bad. Fun, but pointless.

Nice Game

-This was game was pretty exciting, it kept me entertained for a while. I enjoyed how each of the levels had its own different theme, my favorite was the disco ball level. You timed the rising platforms with the music perfectly in the levels. I didn't get very far, but I still found this game to be amusing.

-Only on the first level did I really notice that the game had some lag in it. The other levels had some too, but the first level stuck out to me. Also, the side-scrolling on the first level got annoying by having limited movement. An instructions section would also be nice to help theplayer figure out the main objective of each level.

-Pretty easy overall once you get the hang of what to do though. You award too many lives per level. Great game and I enjoyed playing.

Pixel Action

-Hey, great job on the game. It's original and makes you feel semi-submerged in nostalgia. I felt like I was playing some sort of Atari game (I guess that's what you were aiming for because it says Atari in the description). Thanks for bringing back some fond memories!

-The concept of getting pixels is fun and challenging, something a game should have. I also like the music, it fits very well with this game. Despite some minor problems, this game is great. What I find excellent about this game is that you don't seem to get lost when going all over, it's fairly simple and that's what I like.

-There are a few problems though. Like everyone else says; "The jumping is a little challenging". I found myself at parts where I was one pixel off and I had to go back and do several jumps over again. Difficulty also gets easier as you progress towards the winged sections. I had much more difficulty at the beginning which is unusual for a game.

-Overall it's a pretty good game that uses an interesting style of gameplay that I enjoyed. Challenging but not impossible to beat which sometimes occurs in games that require pixel accuracy. Keep up the good work in the future.

Fun game

The Mastermind Game takes a classic game and puts its little bit of joy into it... the Mastermind. With his over the top nature and dark natured randomness, he makes a very enjoyable host, even though he is bent on destroying Capitalism or Cambodia. A very good game, the graphics were impressive, the gameplay engaging and smooth, and with its humor it makes it the best of its genre.

Challenging but glitchy.

Very difficult, but all right, I didn't find any glitches except one. When you fire a shot and the boss is offscreen it doesn't hit the boss. So when the hair dude was rolling at me even though he was right in front of me I couldn't hit him because he wasn't onscreen. Also the train should have more room to move around because it was very difficult to dodge attacks in such a small space.

Fun but not the best

An interesting RPG, with quite some clichés, bur overall not too bad. A few tips though: make the talk boxes larger. It was really annoying to see text cut into so many parts, it took away from the whole feeling of the game. Secondly: grammar. Another thing that's important in such a game is perfect grammar. I can't remember how many spelling mistakes there were, but quite a lot. And if it's going to be a full game, reduce the damage spells do. Pyro's inferno did something like 900-1000 damage, and I can imagine what effect that will have on balance. I liked the combat system though, and that thingy with the normal attack. Don't know for sure what it's good though if I make it perfect, it seemed as though I get an extra attack. The other thing I liked was that you get a monster description after you kill an opponent. Overall an enjoyable game, save for it's length.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
