Great Tutorial

-I used tweening in one of my animations a long time ago and if it wasn't for tutorials like these I would of probably had a hard time trying to figure out how to do it. Thanks for taking your time to make this little badboy since it's pretty informative.

-I absolutely loved how for every slide you made you had a picture by picture animation on the side to show you what the finished product was so you can pinpoint the area you made a mistake if any problem arises. You also turned up the notch and put some advanced stuff in with the basics so this has something for different levels of beginners too.

-Not the best song choice since since it's a bit abrasive to have to listen to for so long. Having something softer would of worked so much better for how big this tutorial is. The mute button is great though when you do get through the song once.

Nice Adaption

-Rather interesting game with loads of mini games that took a ton of time to actually play through. It's pretty convenient being able to take this on the go since I would of found this rather tedious to play on my computer since the game screen is small and the computer screen is a ton larger. Really enjoyed playing this but it doesn't have much replayability for me once I did everything.

-The only thing that I can pick out that annoyed me some was that the character moves too slow when he is outside. Being able to move faster would make it so there wasn't as much time waiting to play different mini-games. It's nothing major since I can tell it probably took a long time to put this all together and if that's the only flaw I could find then you must be doing something right.

Your three gripes all have answers:

You can buy running shoes in the store southbound. Those double your walking speed.

For replay value, you can try and get all 27 achievements. I'll bet $20 you didn't get the Story God medal.

The screen size is adjustable using the Newgrounds button. I set it so that you can resize it on purpose ^^

Thanks for the high review!

Very informative

-Yes, for once someone giving a tutorial where I haven't actually used it already in one of my animations. While my animations are very simple people who make tutorials usually make it for the easiest things that you can learn in two seconds and start using right away.

-The tutorial was easily navigatable but I suggest making the buttons square and covering an area rather than having to go over the little letters to select them. Tedious but it's a lot easier to use buttons where you can click an area. The pages also get pretty word lengthy without many pictures and this can get taxing to read. I'm not sure if there is anyway to get around this but it can turn away audiences.

-Nice choice of song and something to pass along the time while going through the tutorial but having the option to mute the music if you have something else palying is also helpful. Overall nice tutorial but a few tweaks are needed.

Kwing responds:

Sorry about the buttons. I made it like that on purpose, but perhaps that was a mistake. And yes, it needs a mute button. Sorry for my blunder there.

Fun

-I found this game to be rather enjoyable even though it was one of the simplest shooters i've ever played. Having a start screen with control instructions is helpful even though I was able to figure out the controls by trial and error pretty easily. Cute little cat enemies that shot pencils and some challenging but not too difficult boss enemies. Not bad for a first game.

-Only flaws I found were that you get full health regeneration too often and it makes the game insanely easy since all you have to do is spam the screen and you'll get a health powerup before you run out of health. Few tweaks and it should put some difficulty into the game.

Axiom responds:

Thanks... I didn't think to put instructions on the opening screen till AFTER I uploaded it *slaps forehead*

Hmm I tried to make the power ups random. But obviously I need to go back and tweak it. Thanks for the advice.

Fun game

That was fun, I liked how even though the screen sometimes moved to show more of the scene, you could still interact with the environment. No waiting for it to load, less time wasted. The last level was particularly fun, getting all of those guys eaten. I just wish some parts had been a little more obvious though. Sometime there were tiny things you have to pick up that would take me forever to notice because they were just tiny specks on the screen. For instance some of the rocks weren't very noticeable, or the piece of chalk when you meet the woman.

Stunning

I really liked the concept of the game, yeah it's weird and yeah nobody will fully understand it, probably but it's almos like a piece of art. I gives me the sensation that you poured a lot of work and feeling in doing this, and that is remarkable. Apart from that, the way the music combines with the envioroment is definitly a great archiviement, the silences, the dark places, everything just comes together in perfect way.

Better than expected

Grand Theft Auto 3 was definitely a staple game for any kid growing up. Sex, drugs, violence, and everything that teaches you the luxuries of life. I came to this submission fully expecting this game not to live up to the same expectations that the original had. I was delighted when I finally started playing and it was just as good as the original. This could of been a bit longer to incorporate more but I guess this left you some room for a sequel.

Action Turnip!!!!!!

-Wow! Who would of thought that such a simple game design would be so much fun. I loved the cutesy little character designs of the turnip and all of the respective enemies that you concocted for him to face.

-Gameplay is definitely streamlined and simple since it's just controlled with the arrows and the mouse. Powerups were hilarious and well thought out since they definitely bring a humorous side to the game. Turnabalt mode isn't challenging to just jump but having the fun run'n'gun mode is what really makes this game playable in the long run and what will definitely bring me back for more.

-I would love to see you include the medal system in this game. Be it i'm not sure how difficult you want to make the medals if you do implement the system. I mentioned it before in the forums but congratulations on winning daily 1st place with this fine game.

Well

There was room for more upgrade paths but I like the concept. I actually managed to beat the final boss with no upgrades just by timing my moves carefully and dodging attacks. Maybe including a difficulty option for so casual gamers and competitive gamers alike can have fun playing the game. Decorating the robot was fun, but one or two more logo choices would be cool. Overall, good game with room to expand.

Great Idea

-It's really nice that you took the time to create this. There is the medal games page(which you were kind enough to also link to) but it's very tedious to have to go to every page to see the medals for each respective game.

-I think the most useful thing that you included was how exactly to put medals into your games that you make since this question gets asked often since the medal system is still new and in beta. But having it in beta also comes with it's share of problems which you pointed out how many problems there still are and have yet to be mended and fixed properly.

-While this is a useful thing and it was a great idea after a little over a month it is already outdated since it's difficult to code a submission that updates according to every new game that comes out. Eventually having a much improved sequel would be a great thing to do in the future when some things get fixed with the medal system.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
