Well done

This game was a masterpiece of Newgrounds perfection. I think the fact that it was short made it even better. Its better to leave the gamer wanting more than to beat a dead horse. That being said, I do demand that you create a sequal for this game. It was only slightly frustrated at points and in my eyes made this game as good as gold. I found myself throughout the game saying "Oh my god" and trying to figure out how you were going to kill the each victim. It was entertainging, humorous in a most morbid fashion and left me wanting more.

Really glad you liked it! The sequel has been in the works for the last 2 years and will be out in time for halloween :) Thanks for the kind review!

Too simple

-Some things are missing like a title screen with some information about the requirements for each level such as loser, baby, etc. Maybe having a pause button since the game can become time consuming.

-It's such a simple game to play but so challenging since it takes a lot of perseverance to keep a consistent pace and make sure that you continually jump over the rope each time.

-But it's too simple and doesn't give you much of an incentive to come back and play. Different difficulties or button combinations to do for each jump to give it some more variety since it gets monotonous.

Nice

-Very well put together presentation of the universe. As a whole it's nice to see all of the planets in one place but it doesn't give you any sort of size differential like most standard planetary diagrams. I liked how there were many different levels in the design despite that where you could see some stuff outside of the galaxy.

-Very informative since you can learn a little about each planet, sun, and other various things found out in space when you click on one of them. Scrolling option also lets you save a good amount of time since you can quickly go through everything instead of having to go back and click on each one respectively. Only thing I noticed that was out of place with the scrolling is that you put Earth right after the sun but then put all of the other planets in order by distance from the sun.

Really thanks for like my universe presentation, now I can know that my effort here was enough to show a little about each planet giving a little of knowledge about each one, also thanks for like the different levels design, I'm honoured, because art is not my best, I'm good on programming, so I can think I also was good into this. Thanks for like my scrolling system, and also the curiosity panel planet changer. About the Earth distance in relation to the sun position in the space, is because I already knew the position of the planets from the Sun, but I had to try to place them the realistic as possible.

Thanks again!!

Well

-Tried out all of the possible combinations and it took me roughly seven minutes to do. This just is too short of a game to keep anyone interested or come back and play. Especially since there isn't any sort of animating going on according to what you pick which would be funny in some of those scenerios.

-This definitely could be improved on if you decide to make a v3 since this has a lot of room to grow. Maybe even make a game out of a fight scene since that would be pretty interesting.

Longer and with some animations. Thanks!

Nice addition to the series.

-It's definite even from the loading screen that some scripting work was put into this seeing as how you linked some of your better works. I would of visited them but seeing as how I already had before I just went ahead and played this one since I was already here anyway.

-It's definitely reminiscent of some of the previous works in the save your life series. It's very difficult and right from the get go it has me scratching my brain and later searching google to find the answers. It's not a perfect game but it is much improved from the last one. Great Job and good luck with future works.

thanks for the review and thanks for your vote, you're right that this game is not one of the best but I'm glad you liked! :)

Good for a first

It's a pretty decent game for the first time making one in flash. What is even more impressive is that it took you only one day to put this together. I had relative success on hard and it wasn't a total put off that it was math oriented. Just work a little more on the next one so it's more polished.

GoldenChain responds:

Thanks, I could have made it better if I had an artist, because it's something I'm not the best at.

Fun game

Fun little game you have here. I saw the sequel come into the portal earlier and I wanted to play this one first so I didn't get lost in the story. It's a pretty easy game which is probably why all the medals are 0 points but that doesn't matter. This is still a pretty fun but simple game.

VioletVulpine responds:

I'm making it harder in just a second.

Good Job

I was pretty suprised at how informative this was. Tons of information about guns that I didn't know about since i'm not a huge gun fanatic(especially the jam types). I don't think i'll make an animation with guns anytime soon but it's also pretty informative on different ways to make muzzle flashes which a lot of people forget to use. Anyways I see this as being a great little tutorial for people making madness animations since it covers all of the things that you would need to know for those involving guns.

StealthBeast responds:

Good, I hope you utilize this information eventually.

Kind of wish you told me why I got a 9 and not a 10 though, as you had absolutely no complaints about this flash.

But 9 is great anyway. Thanks for the review.

Could be better

-It seems to be a common occurance for promising flash games to end up letting me down one way or another. In this one the loader screen was pretty epic to say the least and the beginning was pretty well drawn to start us off on the story. But once the actual game started I was greeted with a poorly drawn triangle who would hop from line to line.

-It's your basic platformer game but the graphics are drubbed down to the point where almost no effort was applied. Several puzzles kept me interested for a little bit but it was buggy if you fell off of one of the lines and had to start over. Just some touch ups on graphics and overall gamplay and this would actually be a landmark game.

I love my graphics :(

Needs improvement

-I came to this fully expecting it to be a lot better than it actually was. While you did put a little backstory into it and it's a good little parody of the last supper it just doesn't deliver in actual gameplay.

-Jesus is drawn well enough that I can decipher who he is rather easily and his facial expression was pretty funny to me. He moves entirely too fast for me to be able to hit him effectively without memorizing his pattern(if it isn't random).

-Overall it's just an okay game that could of been a lot better. Maybe slowing Jesus down just a little so you could incorporate an animation for the throwing of the bread. Wouldn't hurt to also include a title page.

MonoFlauta responds:

Yes, the parody its a good idea, but the game wasnt aweomse, it was just an small game we make with fro in two days :P

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
