Fun

This game is really fun. It's a great twist to the classic move your mouse around and avoid the obstacles game. It does take some time and thinking definitely to get through the levels. The difficulty of them progress rather nicely and continue to challenge you more and more as you get along. It's quite unfortunate that the medals aren't working properly but that isn't your fault. I'll definitely have to come back and play this game more. Hopefully with a second playthrough I can get to the bonus levels.

GameBalance responds:

You get bonus levels when u pass all hi-score mode and you have unlimited continues for it :)))

Great Sequel

-I thought it was much better than the first even though it was shorter and not as drawn out. The room was a bit more difficult the first time around though. For some reason it was hard for me to grasp the concept of opening things. Once I finally found everything and put them in the magical microwave, which was about three minutes, it was a bit easier to advance in the room.

-The rock band part was by far my favorite. Quite an inventive version of the song that is now stuck in my head from several playthroughs. I didn't have the issue that Chris-Marks was having. I just kept going through the game over and over. That way I could use all of the options from the choice parts to see what they did.

-I advanced through the fire obstacle course very easily with the help of your hint at the top. The box scene was pretty funny also I might add. What did you use to move it? That followed by the epic boss battle. It didn't matter if I pressed attack or do nothing though. It did the same things thing for both when I was expecting some wierd outcome from doing nothing.

-Overall it's a fun little game with tons of laughs that I enjoyed playing. It's a little buggy but nothing that isn't easily fixable. It should of definitely scored higher for an award.

We were in the box silly. :P

Yeah, a little buggy. We'll fix them eventually. Thanks!

Fun

I was expecting a more complicated game, but all it is is a simple avoid game. It doesn't stay true to the series because there are no boss battles, the tetris pieces are completely random as to where it lands, it's not complex enough, and the original theme is gone. All it is is an avoid game, and although it is an addicting and fun game at that, it's disappointing. It seems very rushed and not on par with the rest of the series because it had no series. Next time, don't set yourself a deadline you can't handle.

KobraEditing responds:

I didn't program the game. It's just my concept and animation. About the deadline, I did not set one. Not for the game, anyways. I set myself a deadline for the animation that fit with how far along the programming was. I actually had to delay the release of the animation because the game was taking so long. Animation was done right on time. Thank you for giving me a nine though, regardless of all of the faults.

First one i've played.

-Even though this was the first game in the series of Kees' Adventures that i've played it was fun and I didn't get lost in the plot.

-The menu was a lot different than i'm used to. Normally there is a click to start menu or something of that nature. You went with the classic push a button to go to the next page. That and having to use the arrow keys to navigate the menu. It falls in line with older systems of games as far as the 8-bit style. It's good that you stayed in the same line of game making instead of adding newer elements to an old style game.

-Once I actually got in to the game it had that classic 8-bit style that the flixel engine is so good for. The animation in the game was rather plain though. In a lot of the parts where people could of been doing something they were just standing still and seemed robotic. Try having more movement for characters that aren't being used by the person playing the game.

-The game was also very linear. You had to talk to person at point A. Go through the dialouge that is automatically given to you. Go get item at point B. Then bring said item back to the person at point A. It didn't create much of a challenge or create a dynamic of having choices to what you wanted to do. I'm not sure if the flixel engine will allow you to have dialouge choices that you can pick and work off of that or if it's too simple of a framework. I have yet to look into exactly how it works or tried to make anything with it.

-Getting back to the linearity of the story. It makes the game not much of a challenge and gives no replayability since if you know where something is once you will be able to find it agian. That and there weren't any multi-step tasks that you had to do. This made the tasks relatively easy and didn't require much thinking at all to complete.

-It was a fun little game to play but it didn't take long or much effort to complete. Overall just try to make the games in future installments longer with more plot dynamics that make the game more difficult. This will add more play time and the chance that people will want to come back and play it again.

Well

For everything Penguinz delivers, it has half as many drawbacks, half of which revolves around how the designers seemingly threw it together without considering where they could expand upon... and what they could have done without. The track loops very poorly. It needs an action-script gotoAndPlay that playbacks at a proper cut-off point, or tweak the track through a freeware sound file editor like Audacity. Don't feel bad; many flash designers fail to edit loops properly. Now, for game design, it's an arena-styled shooter akin to defense games. The swarms get bigger and bigger and you must find new ways to handle each wave of adversaries. Occsaionally, a boss proves troublesome for the unwary. This game requires more arcade-inspired mechanics to flesh it out. The game has diversity of munitions and minions, but not in environments. It's hard to tell if hills add strategic depth since character running speeds do not adjust while climbing up or sliding down. Sliding down slopes and ramming enemies would be cool. Improving enemy AI isn't such a bad idea, either. They just run in and strike from a prescribed distance, mob tactics with little chance of handling superior firepower. You can easily pick them off with the minigun. The arsenal is also imbalanced. The minigun trumps all in terms of efficiency and safety; even the chainsaw--with theoretically unlimited ammunition--is a death wish because melee doesn't work! Not a bad game overall but it really needs some things to be drastically fixed for a sequel.

Jimp responds:

Dont worry the sequel will destroy this in every way.

Well

This is one of the best point and click games in a long time. However, if I could ask something for the next chapter it would be to include subtitles on the sound clues. I'm deaf and it's incredible frustrating to be forced to resort to walkthroughs just because I'm unable to hear the clue. I'm sure there might be more people like me and also those who can't understand English as well. Those people could benefit from the subtitles immensely. Nonetheless, this game is incredibly creative, engaging and beautifully made. Well done, all the team

Hey man, noted. Sorry for the trouble you had!

Well

Very fun escape game. Wheras some escape games are just point and click and figure this and that out you brought it to the next level for me. It wasn't really boring by doing the same thing over and over. It gave you tons of options as to how you wanted to escape and in some of those ways you even had to do timed little episodes. That was another thing. It had tons of little funny shorts that were a great break from actually picking things to do. The fail ones were the best and I found myself getting a lot of those during my first playthrough. I ended up finishing with the sneaky ending using the plungers.

PuffballsUnited responds:

I tried to mix it up a little.

Well

This was a good quiz even if it made me feel a little dumb. Great job compiling so many maps and countries for the answers. When the stages increased it was even worse for me. I only know major landmarks and little ones just slip my mind as to where they are or what they are called. The map really screwed me over too. Some of those places i've never even heard of. You also give about the right amount of time to weed out the people guessing and the people who really know their stuff. I wish there was a leaderboard for this.I gave it a ten for the simple fact of the amount of work you probably had to put into this.

sylwyu responds:

a lot of friends complained its too difficult...only a few really appreciated the challange the questions possed... thanks for the extensive review...

Loved it

I love games like these. My favorite part was how it gave a ten point bonus for being really fast and getting to the bottom.

mjkgames responds:

You can get even 100 bonus points for reaching the bottom later on when bonus multiplier increases over time.. ;)

~REVIEW~

Fun defense game. I would of liked it if I could of seen a firing trajectory line, it was a little difficult to hit with the cannon. It was well put together overall, several weapons and enemies to kill them with. Progressive difficulty was done very well, increased enemy health and they also dealt more damage. It would of been nice if I could of seen a health bar for the enemies, didn't know if I was close to killing them sometimes. My favorite part is that it saves automatically, I could come to it any time I wan't and not have to redo all of the stuff that I had previously done before.

HeroInteractive responds:

Thanks! Those are some good suggestions!

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
