Nice short

-I'll admit it's a pretty nice gag that pico decided to put on. Having a penny used in this day and age doesn't make too much sense since it won't buy you anything but money is money and if I saw it I would of tried to pick it up too. I liked the odd coloring used as it makes it all the more unrealistic and funny. Animation seemed a bit goofy with pico bobbing up and down at one point. But for the most part it was well done for the cartoon. Overall it's a great little short that you put together for pico day.

Hahah for some reason I thought how I pulled off pico in the beginning was the best way to open up the scene :P thanks for the great review :D

Well put together

You did a great job of making the movie fluid. I can't believe you were able to tell your own story using only quotes from the game. Besides that, you even made it a flash of decent length. Must of been rather time consuming to put together the script for this and it pays off. Congratulations on how well this has done.

PuffballsUnited responds:

Yeah, it started off as a bunch of short clips. The hardest thing was getting them all to fit together to form a story.

I can convert you ;)

-What kind of a sniper doesn't carry any bullets on him? I found that a bit odd but taco soup could of just been trigger happy earlier. He was talking about unloading when he sees dick's. Which was quite funny as it fit's into newgrounds humor perfectly and that's why I found this to be one of the funnier parodies of Osama's death. Great lines and that can make a simple looking animation all the better. Even if it's late it doesn't mean that it isn't good.

-Facial expressions were rather welcome as it made the characters more life like(if that is possible). Not sure if the spoons are entirely necessary since you use actual voice work but it's still a nice touch so people don't get confused since there aren't mouths. The crooked sniper and the can opener were ironic, but not out of place all things considered.

Dosensuppen responds:

The extra bullet thing was somewhat ironic, as well as a can carrying a can opener -- if that's what you meant. The spoons were there to somewhat mock the Clocks, but it does help if someone can't tell the voices apart.

But this kind of humor I'm glad you found tasteful. We tried to deliver something for Newgrounds. It seemed to have failed for the first few comments. Plus, we just didn't like the other shitty flashes coming in.

But I think it turned out well for a flash that wad made in a day.

Great stuff

At the beginning I thought that this was just a typical shoot-em-up, but I was wrong. The best way to describe this short is through the fact that it was very "cool". The music fit perfectly (and with a decent sound system it works even better). I loved all the glasses, it was a perfect way to differenciate between the characters. Thank you, I really enjoyed this. Hopefully you do make that sequel too as it would be only more epic.

Excellent choice of music

I've always loved this song and it's about fucking time someone set it into flash, and it seems you were the perfect person to do it. The animation was flawless, and had a delightfully smooth cartoon style to it. Sound was just flawless (If it wasn't there wouldn't really been a point to make this flash. And it was just great, charming enough, but with still enough action to keep you intrested.

And the world was saved

I can understand where you are coming from. This isn't the best drawn or animated work compared to a lot of flashes that have been produced. But it's nowhere near bad. This shines through in comedic value and making fun of a lot of the overly cinematic cutscenes that MW2 had. Plus I don't have to go play the game to see them as you put them all together here. Nice for your first submission and hopefully there will be more to come.

Thank you, sixflab. I appreciate your feedback.

Nice pico day flash

-Not bad. Not bad at all. I can't say I was expecting this at all. It's better than what I can do but it's still far from being up there with the better animations for pico day. The note next to the preloader is a nice touch to start us off though.

-The backgrounds aren't entirely smooth. They have a gritty feel to them and it fits for this kind of flash. The color scheme of just different colors of gray felt a little underwhelming though. Boxes could have been brown. Maybe some miscellaneous items strewn around. I did like the club member usernames on the walls.

-Animation style gets the job done and isn't too choppy. For the most part runs through nicely. Multiple angles makes it more dramatic. Pico never was able to show any pizzazz though as he was suprised and quickly knocked out. Thus his demise came soon after. Seemed like this progressed too quickly and if you weren't rushed for time maybe a more in depth story could of unfolded.

-Sounds were perfectly placed. The story seemed more realistic with them besides the bat sound. Maybe getting a more muffled sample so it didn't crack so hard. That and the shortness were the two main flaws but i'm sure with more time in the future and practice you'll put out something great.

Dosensuppen responds:

Ah, a truly in depth examination of this flash. Everything you said, I agree with. Of course, I feel all the sounds were a bit off. I had to edit most of them. Yes, we were rushed, my BG artist was rushed to make them too. I'm glad they were gritty, however.

I must agree with some of the expressions and lack of character for Pico, but as I said, we were rushed. But, I beg for no pity. I'm amazed how much positive reception I have received when compared to the better artists.

I plan to work with my partner on a new project with a whole lot more time put it in. I think we do a decent mix.

Not bad

Alright, the animation on this isn't top-notch. And I can't help but feel that a few of the attacks were a bit overdone for which attack you're claiming is used (That Rock Throw, for instance, looked big enough easily to be a Rock Slide) but you know what? No bones need be made about this- you profess not to be a fan, from which I figure you haven't played it much- at least, not recently. All told, this is an excellent animation- a cinematic battle, good music, a fight that's not all one-sided, some surprisingly believable moves on the part of the participants- and excellent battle choreography. Work a bit on your drawing skills and animating, and you could easily pull a ten out of something like this.

Nice Collab

It really takes quite a bit nowadays for me to be impressed with a stick animation considering how many entries there are swarming the genre. So many of them seem mediocre compared to that first time that I saw Xiaoxiao (and I still enjoy it immensely). But here you've got some excellent people crafting some seriously sick pieces. I'm loving this whole thing, and the music's great for it too. Good collab and i'm bound to see you guys make more in the future.

Nice parody

Stupid piece of shit computers. Also - why do people call 'Windows-compatible machines' PCs, as if a mac isn't a personal computer? I liked the expressions on PC and the lack of movement on mac. PC could have had some crazy body poses though, to fit his character. The blurry lines on the penguin made it look wierd. Nothing bad about the toon, but it could have had more jokes or something. Although I'm not sure that would be totally compatible with your slightly serious point. The basic point you make is totally one I agree with and it was a fun watch.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
