Tons of fun

Really fun game. Played it due to it being a zombie game but keep playing it to try and get all of these medals. Even though they are worth five points it's fun to try and earn them. Quite challenging at first and even with the improved stats still keeps you on your toes. Autofire was a nice option that I like to see in shooting games where you tend to fire a lot. Suprised it has such a low score considering how good it is. Hope to see another one in the future.

Thanks for the compliments man, really glad you liked it :)

Just started working on my next zombie game, I'll message you when it's out ;)

Cheers mate

Fun though challenging.

-I love how everyone is complaining that this game is too hard and thus giving it 0s because of it. It's really funny actually that they're all whining about it. Okay, so sure, you die when you touch anything, nothing we haven't seen before, so why are you complaining? Of course it was hard to do at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's relatively simple to control. I found the game rather enjoyable. The controls are fair, remind me of the "fishy" game. The main issue is that it's a little slippery, as in you continue to move after releasing the button unless you make short movements.

-The soundtrack is great, it's really fun. It's really enjoyable how the enemies move in motion with the music, so once you you hear the tune a few times, you know what to expect. I especially enjoyed the music for the third level. Glad I liked it so much since I played that one the most(multiple tries on boss battle). Overall, it's a pretty good game, and I like it.

Nice

Fun I like it! Kinda addictive too. Only thing I dont like is the "safe area" or whatever its called, think it should be bigger. That and maybe not so hard.. because the other dude who wrote a review on here is right, the cursor really doesnt respond that well. Dont know if this was the intentions but I just figured the harder you throw your cursor out of the "safe area" the faster it goes. If it wasnt for the small "safe area" and if it wasn't as hard I think this game would be a helluva lot funner. Overall I like it alot.

Fun Game

-I think the amount of interest and views generated by this game says it all, really: a nigh-on perfect flash game. Actually reminds me very much of X-Com Apocalypse, one of my favourite games in high school, but has less action, rpg elements and monster detail.

-Sounds bad, but I mean this as a positive thing as the tradeoff is for beautiful simplicity. There are really no extra or redundant features at all in this game, every aspect of it serves to enhance the gameplay and the pace is fast and snappy. I'm sure lots of people have ideas of how to expand a sequel, or to add more cool stuff but I really think that anything else would just slow the game down, get in the way.

-Difficult. (I regret playing on 'normal' difficulty first as it takes pretty much all the challenge out of the game. Maybe make 'hard' the default, or remove 'easy' altogether?) Balancing food production and scavenging, population growth and accommodation, all the while zombie-culling and defending your base takes a lot of planning, thought and more than a little luck.

Could use more depth

-At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this because each level seemed to be pretty much identical to the last but only with a few more virus pieces. However, when I hit around level 26, I found that it was really pretty addictive and challenging! I really like the graphics you did for the antidote drops especially when they get really big.

-I could totally see this game being expanded to add different kinds of powerups and different virus pieces. Heck, even making the board bigger or adding maze pieces in it would add some neat flavor. Have you thought about adding a timer for each level as well? That way it gets more challenging even if you're being very careful with how you administer the antidote. Overall it's a good game but it lacks depth.

Favorited

-This game is honestly captivating. I bookmarked this game since I didn't have time during the game jam but I just got some free time today so I decided to play it. Read through the author comments and when I saw that it was difficult I just had to see what all the fuss was about. Damn, after the first try I barely got through a few enemies before I was decapitated.

-But even practice does not make perfect as i'm still struggling with the boss but that's what makes it so captivating to me. You guys didn't bow down to the needs of the masses who wanted easy but fun gameplay. No, you went forth with putting together a game that would challenge even some of the best gamers newgrounds has to offer. I like that and it's kept me entertained for a long time even though i'm not all that good at it.

-With the time constraints that you guys had it's no suprise that the storyline wasn't fleshed out a ton but what you have is enough to get us into Sgt Rambo Giraffes struggles and make us want to get revenge. Lovely pixel art and some interesting enemies thrown in and you have a great game. No suprise that this recieved third place in the contest. Now to get back and see if I can succeed.

This is probably my favorite review that I have gotten so far! It was long, detailed, and touched all the main points. THANKS!

Enjoyable. Makes you think.

I really did like this game. But I felt like there wasn't enough choice. I would've wanted my family to come with me every day. I wanted to talk to my wife and child. But there wasn't an option for it. Very this or that, and I feel life has so many choices a game like this can't cap that. But you did an okay job. Maybe a sequel of some kind which improves on the ideas from this game.

I'd suggest saving the first ending. So if people shared the game it posted what they did the first time. But allow us to see the consequences if we had chosen other wise. Like a ghost form, split screen or something. Anyway, nice attempt on the human psyche.

Fun but tedious

I think that while the concept is brilliant, and the presentation, music and graphics were very well done, the gameplay staggers in that you eventually have to resort to trial and error to find more elements, which gets boring quickly. Plus, a lot of the combinations weren't logically sound at all (for instance, why do you have to combine Order and Demon to get Copyright?) I used a walkthrough for most of it in the end because I was tired of the constant failed combinations.

However, it kept me playing to the end, so you've certainly got the addictiveness factor nailed down, I guess there's definitely a sort of satisfaction in collecting the elements and gradually making more and more complex ones. So in short, the concept is great but the implementation still needs a lot of work.

Great Game! Tons of Fun!

The controls are flawless, and the main mechanic is a joy to use. There's a clear goal and objectives in place, but there is no sense of failure or loss to ruin the mood. You have lots of content to unlock and enjoy, and the game doesn't end when you wish it wouldn't.

Overall, the most important factor is how happy this game made me. I mean, like a deep sort of zen happiness. There's something beautiful about flight (making the title of the game very apropos), and this game captures the joy of motion very well. Unlike other speed-oriented games like Sonic the Hedgehog or Aero, there's nothing to kill your buzz, only items to keep it going. There is nothing to rival the feeling that comes from your plane grabbing a whole sequence of items that send you rocketing at dizzying speeds.

The music is a delight to listen to, a beautiful composition that only enhances the positive energy of the whole game. The graphics are simple but effective and the framerate is magically high, preventing any motion sickness that might ensue from the experience were it any lower.

Well thought out game

Amusing gameplay, plenty of explosions and enemies, a nice selection of weapons and upgrades are all good points. Some of the minor elements: pretty short, fairly easy and tends to get boring. The weapon and speed upgrades stop fairly soon and you tend to get overpowered near the end. Tank movement affecting your aim is interesting but incredibly annoying. The laser was my favourite weapon and definitely broken if you know how to use it. (minimalize movement etc)

The first 4 weapons were fairly interesting, I didn't bother with the flamethrower or chainsaw though. All in all, fairly short but sweet. Possible improvements: wider music variety, more upgrades that are actually worth it and bosses that actually require some fighting.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
