Loved it.

-This is freaking amazing. I think it's great that you took the time to use the sounds from the legend of zelda and make a crazy beatbox out of it.

Great Job

This is simply FLAWLESS. There is a ton of originality in here. There was a very nice use of mixing the eurobeat-style synths with the rave sounds, and the transition from the slow beginning part to the fast part was AMAZING!!! The clarity of this was perfect, the diversity was perfect, and the effort was perfect!

I liked it

-It definitely stays true to your style that I noticed you like to use in your work. It's so much different than other vocalists in how you use a much different pace and it doesn't need to be fluid. It works great in bursts, just like an assault rifle.

-The line at :39 is by far my favorite. It's the whole reason little kids love the internet. Most of what you said is very true though. It's very easy to get lost on the internet once you are on it. One thing leads to another and then you're spending hours a day on there.

-The music is quite interesting. The guitar is suprisingly slow compared to the rest of the beat. It gives it a nice bright contrast that gives an easy listening experience to an otherwise fast paced song.

-It however doesn't really come together as a whole. The music is a bit too loud for the vocals. Try equalizing the sound. Either that or just lower the volume of the background music. It will make it much easier to hear what you are saying.

NeverHundred responds:

I tried equalizing the sound a bit. Not sure it helped much. Thanks for putting an effort in understanding my backward style.

And the moral of the story is...

-Of course serious men would ask serious questions. How else would they become so serious? I was quite suprised this had vocals. I was expecting some random serious music but you did so much better.

-The percussion elements of this song were by far the best i've heard for background music. They could of stood alone. I liked the vocalized style of using bursts of words and breaking it apart. I think it sounds really good and much better than if you would of done it all in one long chunk.

-...you'll never understand what those important issues are. They speak in circles and use fancy words to make it sound like they are doing something important.

NeverHundred responds:

Yeah, it's all about taking things too seriously. It's a song about the dangers of intersection and over analyzable. Searching for answers expecting that only good can come from the results. Or speculating about things that can't be answered which results in coming up with your own answers.

Not necessarily a bad thing, humanity has been doing for years.

African instrument for the win

-Well the quality isn't all that great so I switched from my headphones to my speakers for this one. I don't do that too often since I like my headphones. But i'll make an exception since it's such a unique instrument that I quite frankly would like to hear a lot more of in the audio portal. Too much techno, not enough natural instruments.

-I just love how the marimba reverberates notes so well and allows you to create really dynamic and interesting melodies. This was a must anyways since it's a solo and it's the main focus anyways. You changed the pace from slow to fast and back and forth so many times. That mixed with the changes in volume made it very soothing to the ears. It ebbed and flowed very nicely.

-I really enjoyed listening to this. I even favorited it so I can easily listen to it again. It's just a shame that you don't have a better way to record.

Cimba responds:

Thank you very much and I'll let u know if i get this remastered somehow

Well

-It has to be difficult for a pimp in space. There aren't exactly too many clients to work with but the ones that are there probably pay high dollar to ride in your ship.

-Very smooth throughout with the synth doing most of the work. The melody has a nice floating in space feel to it. It doesn't change a whole lot but the suttle variations in volume and tone make a big difference. The percussion elements stay almost the same throughout the entire song though. Try mixing them up a bit. The only change that I could notice was at :57.

-It's a good listen overall but it doesn't have a whole lot of variation to it. It's great for background music but as it is now it doesn't do a lot standing by itself.

Syntrus responds:

Hey thx for responding dude. Yeah I need a drummer. But you know man this is the perfect site for background music.

A bit short

-I honestly can tell why some people think this isn't an original work and think you are just playing someone elses. The beginning twenty or so seconds sound awfully close to another great classical song but I don't know the name of it. The rest is entirely different though so it should be obvious it's your work.

-Are you using a classical guitar for this? I can't tell if it is one or a newer type of guitar. I'm having an awful time trying to decide if it is or not. Anyway it sounds really good. You mentioned something about construction noise but I guess the edit was uploading another version without it.

-Everything was so calm in the beginning but it eventually picked up and the difficulty of the tabs to be played. I think you did a fine job with writing and following up with the actual play of the song. It's well structured and even though you think it's sloppy it's better than a lot of the stuff i've heard.

-The only thing that I think that could be changed is make it longer. It doesn't need any additonal instruments or anything like that but at a little over a minute and a half it's a small piece. It shouldn't be too difficult to add something to it.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Well, I'm considering making it longer but it's only a minuet. The longest one I can think of is one by Beethoven and it's 2:30. I may do a String Quintet with it though (two violins, viola, cello, guitar).

This is a normal nylon string guitar. Classical guitarist have nails that change the tone of the guitar, so maybe that's why you thought it was something different. Writing this I started with a baseline that goes down the F major scale, so I guess it may kind of remind you of Air.

I just always listen for mistakes instead of listening to the song.

I may consider extending the B section

Thanks for the review!

NOOOOOOOOO

-Your right about the funkyness being so amazing. It is too bad that you lost the file and would have to start from scratch to do anything else to this.

-Regardless of it being unfinished it is really good. It has a great funky feel but since it was in development still you never got around to adding more to the song and adding more variety. It could of definitely used more bass or piano.

FlamingFirebolt responds:

Well in theory, a second funk song would go much faster. Since i basically was just messing around with this project. ( I never planned to make a funk song lol! ). I actually started with that vinyl break with something big-beatish in mind ( Think proppelerheads etc. ). I'm glad it turned out this way though!.

Actually i thought of a keyboard solo after the 'chorus chordy' part. With the keys that are in the chorus aswell ( not that audible ). And maybe with a hint of the Hammond Organ i've put in there. And finally some more guitarish stuff. But, no use thinking of ideas now.
Thanks you liked it,

Nice

-Your right in saying there isn't much to it but it honestly didn't need anything. This is so calming the way it is.

-There is a suttle build involved in the background noise which becomes more apparent the farther you get into it. The pitch rises and becomes more noticable to the ears.

-For being a loop though it didn't loop too well. Try reversing what you did up until the end and add it onto the end. That way it will have a beginning, middle, and end. The end will also loop much better with the beginning since they will be exactly the same.

-You are new to making music here since this is your second submission but just keep working and taking tips from people and i'm sure you'll get better in no time ^-^

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
