Interesting

-Definitely an interesting style of music and I haven't heard anything like this before. It does have some nice similarities to jewish types of music but that's probably from the scale you were working from. Anyways I love listening to stuff that is different and unique.

-Quick pace in some parts and slow in others which shows how well this transitions back and forth. Flows very smoothly. I also liked the assortment of instruments used which blended together for a nice full entertaining song. Time well spent.

Nice

-Really nice fruity melody you have going here. Enjoyable to listen to and it sounds very interesting to the ear. Even though it stays very consistent it doesn't get repetitive. But i'll have to agree with Dj-GST in the fact that adding a few more melodies into the mix wouldn't be a bad idea. Would give it more variety and length to the song.

Ah, ok, ill see what I can do with it, thank you very much for your reply. Means a lot to have some feedback on getting my songs sounding better.

Also, off topic, nice Earth Dijinn.

Well

-Nice interesting beat at the start and it flourishes well as the song continues. Very catchy and just the beat has nice interesting qualities. I was fully expecting to hear some vocals since you have them typed up here but they weren't in this version. A little bit of a letdown since the lyrics are very solid and seem like they would fit into this well if you can find someone to do the vocals.

-Reason being is that the beat is progressive in it's pace but it slows down occasionally to fit in those parts where I percieve the lyrics to pause a bit. Transitions in the melodies are done nicely and when this is all said and done I expect it to sound great.

Thanks sixflab u tha bomb. Thx 4 reviewing my submission and taking the time to point out its strengths and flaws. Due to the positive feedback on this song, I think I might have to add lyrics, which would be a milestone for me, but the song just begs it I think.

Thanks very muchly for your well informed opinion.

Could use improvement

-It's a little difficult to hear in some areas of the song. Not sure if you have any way of allowing the vocals to be more defined and clear. It would improve on this a good deal if it was clearer.

-As mentioned by Boux the guitar is out of tune but seeing as it's just the instrument you are using and isn't computer generated it's an allowable flaw. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to jump on a chance to get a new guitar if you are going to pursue acoustic musical work.

-Introduction was well paced but the vocals didn't flow off of it as well as they could have. Once the lyrics end the playoff was about half as long as the lyrical part so some structure adjustment to make the ending more even with the introduction.

-Overall it could use some improvement but you are starting to get in the right direction. It's a lot better than some of the first stuff from you that I listened to but I still think with some practice you can be even better.

Sawdust responds:

Yeah, thanks for that!

I'm not really going to pursue acoustic stuff though, I'd actually like to make this into a rock song, but I don't have proper access to a studio :/ Thanks for the review though!

Very Melodic

-Starts out rather calm and smooth which isn't a bad thing at all. Lets you just flow into the song nicely. The piano sounds lovely and goes well with the drums. Very melodic throughout for a dubstep which worked rather nicely. Feels empty as is but you mentioned vocals so that would fill some of that emptiness.

-I wouldn't mind seeing this be a little faster and intertwining the synth more with the melody. What you have so far is really solid though. It's going in an interesting direction by incorporating different styles.

superuberinsaneausm responds:

thanks!, i dont really think i could speed it up though considering its at 140 and i want it to feel relaxed. as far as the the rhodes melody i could write a few more and have it interact with the wobble. thanks for the advice!!

Nice Song

-You are definitely right about it not being well known. Really old Mega Man game in a sub game of it means less exposure and so far I haven't heard the original version or anyone make something with it. Good find on your part to find an 8-bit song that hasn't been overdone with remixes.

-I really like the added energy and pace that you give to this. Very fluid and layered nicely. Good amount of variation and elements incorporated. The only thing bad that I have to say about it is that it feels a little drawn out in length. You have almost six minutes of continuous song and any song that long eventually starts to get repetitive. You would of been better suited shortening this and looping it appropriately.

kchrules responds:

Thanks! It has also been shortened a bit.

,,,

-Very calm beginning but I feel like you stretched it out entirely too long. Very light sounding throughout but you have tons of minor transitions and tones that come in and out. Would of been nice to have seen more energy come out of this song off of the build in the introduction but it's fine being a calmed soothing song since some atmospheric elements are in here. It's a good listen but nothing special.

DXsamurai responds:

thanks for the review. i thought i had enough energy in the song, so i let it go on long.

Wow

-Wow is an accurate summation of this song. I'm not sure what you did to edit this but the suggestions that the previous reviewers gave really seemed to bring the liveliness out in this song. Everything is just so powerful and resounding, showing itself out of the main electronic melody. A lot of care was taken into making this song all that it could be.

-I know everyone is already saying this to you but 0:45 was beautiful. The change of pace with the flawless transition into the chords. The overlapping styles make this very interesting to listen to because it's a very strong kicking song with a lot of electronic and classical mix ins. Amazing job with this one and good luck with works in the future.

Nice

-Even though this was just a bunch of different samples mashed together I found it very interesting. Not something I would usually listen to but it just worked well as a whole. Definitely a change of pace from most dnb that comes around.

-The african samples at the beginning were pretty much the highlight as it allowed me to get my mind into this kind of style. Very fast paced and vibrant sounding like most of what you used. The ending ten seconds seemed rather awkward since it came to a full stop followed by a couple of drums one after another.

Well

-It's a shame that this has sound quality issues due to a music program. Sounds very fuzzy and vibrates a lot in the background. I wouldn't mind if it was undertones of some sort but it's just so loud and shaky.

-Very nice and light tempo to the song and it's very fitting. Becomes progresively faster in the build up and you can really get into this. Not too many things to note as you already know about the clipping and the low quality though.

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks for the review. Hopefully my other projects won't experience similar problems in the future. I'll just have to be smarter about it.

I'm a pretty laid back person. Like some things about the new design but still like a lot of things from the old one :/
